Fundación Argentina ASE continues to advance the development of the early forest fire detection system in Ciervo de los Pantanos National Park, in coordination with the National Parks Administration and other territorial stakeholders. This initiative aims to strengthen prevention and environmental monitoring capacities through the use of applied technology.

At this stage, tasks related to operational planning for the installation of the poles are being carried out, including the drafting of protocols, the definition of information management mechanisms, and the institutional coordination necessary for its implementation. Likewise, progress is being made in the equipment acquisition process, which will allow monitoring of key variables such as weather conditions, gas concentration, and other relevant indicators for early detection of risk events.

Additionally, articulation instances with local stakeholders are being developed for the donation of materials needed for installation, technical teams, and protected area authorities, with the aim of coordinating necessary actions to begin the installation of infrastructure on the ground shortly. These actions seek to ensure efficient implementation, adapted to the characteristics of the environment, and aligned with low environmental impact criteria.

The project is situated in a context of growing relevance of early warning systems in the face of increasing extreme events associated with climate change, consolidating the importance of integrating data, technology, and territorial management for ecosystem protection.

Public-private collaboration and joint work with local communities are fundamental pillars for the success of this initiative. Fundación Argentina ASE reaffirms its commitment to developing technological solutions that contribute to the preservation of natural heritage and the safety of populations in risk areas.

Progress at this stage lays the groundwork for future implementation of the system in other protected areas of the country, replicating the management and monitoring model being developed in Ciervo de los Pantanos National Park.
