7 km of aqueduct and a cistern at an altitude of 4,000 meters
The project has completed essential infrastructure to improve and secure access to safe drinking water for Lipán community families living in the settlements of Moreno Chico, Ciénaga Grande and Chilcayitoin Tumbaya Department, Jujuy Province.
The infrastructure was completed with support from other NGOs, our donors and technical teams involved in water management in the province.
From springs to homes
The project included new intake cisterns at previously identified springs and watercourses. Water is distributed to homes through pipes and hoses and stored in tanks, where it undergoes treatment.
In Lipán, progress was also made on a cistern intended exclusively for human consumption. An automatic sodium-hypochlorite dosing system replaced the previous use of chlorine tablets for water treatment.

Joint work with institutions, NGOs and donors
The project is carried out with Agua Potable de Jujuy, a provincial state-owned company, the Puna Operating Unit, technical teams from Abra Pampa, and the Engineering and Projects departments.
Its implementation was made possible through cooperation with other NGOs and the sustained support of our donors, who backed a concrete intervention focused on human well-being, the territory and sustainability.
