Specialists for an applied environmental agenda

Geochemistry

Telma Zerdá

Geologist with experience in geotechnical engineering, diamond-drilling supervision (DDH), mineral prospecting and exploration, and geochemistry. She has conducted environmental and social impact assessments, pre-feasibility studies, Phase I and Phase II environmental audits, soil, water and air monitoring, and reviews of tender documents and technical proposals.

Meteorology

Yamila Denise Auzmendia

She holds a university diploma in Atmospheric Sciences and is completing both a bachelor’s degree and a university-level teaching degree in the field. She works as an aeronautical and Antarctic weather forecaster.

Forest Engineering

Dora Maria Olarte Zapata

Forestry engineer with a master’s degree in Environmental Management and a specialized master’s degree in Management and Conservation of the Natural Environment, Natural Areas and Public Use. She has 30 years of experience in Colombia, Spain, Bolivia and Argentina spanning the oil and mining sectors, land-use planning, water-resource availability assessments, environmental impact studies, ecotourism and international cooperation projects.

Climate Change

Facundo Villar

Geographer, University of Buenos Aires (UBA), with a specialization in Urban Social Policy from the National University of Tres de Febrero (UNTREF) and a diploma in Climate Change Management from the National University of Quilmes (UNQ). He has worked in government and civil society on sustainable regional development, environmental policy, and planning for municipal and provincial governments.

Sustainable Development

Horacio Augusto Pereira

He holds a master’s degree in Public Policy from Universidad Austral and a bachelor’s degree in International Trade from the National University of Quilmes (UNQUI). A senior researcher at CIG-UA, he specializes in natural resources, productive development and international competitiveness. His work focuses on turning natural advantages into drivers of industry, exports and economic growth that is sustainable, competitive and socially responsible.
