The City of Mendoza will host a new edition of **Expo Mendoza Voluntaria**, bringing together more than 75 social organizations, foundations and charitable institutions from across the province. The event will take place on **Saturday, November 14, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Parque Central**, where residents and visitors can discover the everyday work of people who devote their time, knowledge and effort to supporting their communities.

Following a previous edition that brought together more than 50 organizations in Godoy Cruz, the Expo is expanding its reach and creating a meeting place for groups with different backgrounds, fields of work and forms of participation. The initiative is organized collaboratively by charitable institutions and supported by the Municipality of the City of Mendoza.

**Fundación Argentina ASE is supporting Expo Mendoza Voluntaria for the second consecutive year**, continuing its commitment to this opportunity for cooperation and community participation. Its support contributes to recognizing organizations' work, introducing their initiatives to new audiences and building connections that can last beyond the event itself.

## “Our hands unite, help and connect”

Under this motto, the 2026 edition seeks to highlight volunteers' daily contributions, strengthen ties among institutions, create training opportunities and encourage active community participation. The initiative brings both organizations and the people behind them to the forefront: those who support, teach, care, listen and respond to concrete needs around them.

The event adopts a pluralistic, democratic and inclusive approach, fully respecting every participating association's identity, mission and autonomy. This diversity is central to the event: it brings different experiences and causes into a shared space where exchanges may open new possibilities for cooperation.

For participating institutions, the Expo also offers an opportunity to share lessons learned, explore other ways of organizing and identify challenges affecting different sectors. Volunteer training and stronger interinstitutional ties are part of this pursuit of lasting engagement.

## A day to discover projects and find ways to get involved

Throughout the afternoon, visitors will be able to explore stands, speak with organization members, listen to testimonials and take part in training activities. Initiatives will cover **children, older adults, comprehensive health, education, spirituality, housing and living environments, environmental protection, animal rescue and adaptive sports**, among other areas.

Direct conversations will help visitors understand what each organization does, whom it supports and how its activities are carried out. Those interested in joining will be able to ask about tasks, organizational arrangements and opportunities to contribute to each project.

The invitation also extends to people who would like to volunteer for the first time but have not yet found a cause or institution they identify with. Bringing so many experiences together makes that first connection easier: visitors can listen to participants, learn about different needs and explore ways to contribute time, knowledge or skills.

Testimonials and training activities will also provide an opportunity to discuss what it takes to sustain a volunteering commitment. The Expo aims to make an initial encounter with an organization the beginning of longer-term involvement.

## Volunteering on the sustainable development agenda

The 2026 edition coincides with the **International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development**, proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly. This international initiative seeks to recognize volunteering's contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and encourage its inclusion in development policies and activities.

In this context, Expo Mendoza Voluntaria offers a local expression of that agenda: a space where broad goals can connect with concrete projects and the people who sustain them. The various fields represented bring social, educational, health and environmental needs into view through the work organizations undertake in their communities.

Admission is free and open to everyone. On Saturday, November 14, Parque Central will become a meeting place to discover these experiences, recognize the people behind them and find new ways to get involved.
